you right is working also with ubuntu 7.04 and the c68 driver

I installed the same printer last weekend to my mom. Yes – the default C88 drivers don’t work, but this printer works fine with C68 drivers. Change the drivers and you can see that.

Its ink is very cheap, but it is a little noisy. I didn’t test it about quality, but it seems good.

Ubuntu’s printer support is awesome when the underlying drivers are there. Fortunately for me, my Brother DCP-560CN multifunction is supported under linux by Brother itself, so a quick download of drivers and I was away.

How is the Epson anyway in terms of print quality, cost to run etc? I’d always avoided them in favour of the “cheaper to run” models.
